LRADAC Receives Three Year Reaccreditation and High Remarks from CARF International

October 22, 2014

Columbia, SC – LRADAC is proud to announce its reaccreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, or CARF International. The accreditation process includes a three-day intensive survey of programs and staff, which occurs every three years.

Surveyors commended LRADAC for providing an exceptional array of services for clients and their family members. The report by CARF International noted, “The organization’s leadership, management, and staff members work hard to provide program components that blend together to form a cohesive, consistent service delivery process that is designed to address the whole person, with a focus on fully equipping the persons served to meet the challenges of life in a responsible and acceptable manner.”

Gayle Aycock, LRADAC’s President and CEO, stated, “This survey highlighted our staff’s commitment, skill, and ownership of our organization’s purpose. LRADAC is in an excellent position to reach a new level of excellence.”

LRADAC is the designated alcohol abuse and drug abuse authority for Lexington and Richland Counties of South Carolina. The public, not-for-profit agency offers a wide array of prevention, intervention and treatment programs in locations convenient to residents of both counties. The agency has a budget of approximately $10 million and serves more than 5,000 clients per year.
