Columbia, SC – LRADAC, the designated alcohol and drug abuse authority for Lexington and Richland Counties, is pleased to announce the hiring of Shannon Shuler, MSW, LISW-CP, as Director of Lexington County Services. In her new role, Shuler will provide leadership and oversight to LRADAC’s outpatient treatment and intervention programs in Lexington County. She will be responsible for clinical quality assurance, program development, staff supervision, and strategic coordination with community partners and regulatory stakeholders to ensure high-quality, accessible substance use disorder services.
Shuler brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, social work, and clinical operations. Most recently, she served as Director of Social Work at Bryan Psychiatric Hospital, where she oversaw clinical and administrative operations across forensic, adult, and child and adolescent programs. Her background includes extensive experience in trauma-informed care, clinical supervision, compliance, and community collaboration.

Shuler holds a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Social Work from Winthrop University. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker–Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in South Carolina and an approved clinical supervisor. She is also a doctoral candidate in healthcare administration and maintains advanced training in evidence-based and trauma-focused treatment modalities.
