Open to Addictions Counselors, Rehabilitation Counselors, Supervisors working in Treatment settings, Social Workers, and Other Health Care or Treatment Providers and Prevention Professionals.
Objectives:
- Basic knowledge of impact of trauma on the brain.
- Overview of Polyvagal Theory and its application to trauma resourcing.
- Introduction and review of resourcing skills to support coping with trauma reactions.
- Process for providing trauma-based education and resourcing in group facilitation.
