BPSSEM – Psychology of Addiction Training

6 Credit Hours

Open to Addictions Counselors, Rehabilitation Counselors, Supervisors working in Treatment settings, Social Workers, and Other Health Care or Treatment Providers and Prevention Professionals.

Objectives:

• Participants will gain an understanding in the psychological connections and implications of SUDs.
• Participants will be introduced to concepts of Good Enough Parenting and the development of a cohesive self.
• Participants will be able to conceptualize the development of shame and how shame drives addiction.
