May 28, 2015

Columbia, SC – LRADAC’s Rise Above It coalition in Lexington School District Two is hosting prescription drug take back locations on Saturday May 30th. Rise Above It is partnering with BI-LO, the Cayce Department of Public Safety, and the West Columbia Police Department to host the events at the following BI-LO locations:

  • 2453 Charleston Highway Cayce, SC 29033
  • 300 Knox Abbott Drive Cayce, SC 29033
  • 2349 Augusta Road West Columbia, SC 29169

Community members are invited to drop off unused and unwanted prescription pills and patches at any of these locations between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Needles and liquids will not be accepted. The purpose of these collection sites is to encourage the community to always dispose of prescription drugs in a safe manner. By doing so, these drugs are kept out of reach for children and will not contaminate the environment.Lex 2 CC 4col logo
