Internship Opportunities at LRADAC
LRADAC is proud to support the next generation of behavioral health professionals through comprehensive internship opportunities in substance use treatment. Our internships are designed to provide hands-on clinical experience, high-quality supervision, and meaningful exposure to evidence-based treatment modalities within a compassionate, community-focused setting.
We welcome motivated graduate-level students who are committed to learning, professional growth, and serving individuals and families affected by substance misuse.
Internship with LRADAC
LRADAC accepts social work and counseling interns through the following academic partners:
- USC College of Social Work
- USC College of Education
- CIU School of Counseling
The internship experience includes:
- Individual and group supervision with experienced clinicians
- Training and exposure to core treatment modalities
- Individual and group counseling opportunities
- Clinical assessment experience
Interns gain practical, real-world experience while developing the skills necessary for effective, ethical practice in substance use treatment settings.
Timeline for Fall Semester Placement
- February: Internship application posted under Careers
- March: Interviews are scheduled and conducted; intern selections are made
- April: Internship offers are extended, with onboarding beginning within one week of offer acceptance
- August: Internship begins
