The South Carolina Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) is a mandatory statewide education and treatment program designed to lower risk for individuals who are convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and individuals whose licenses are suspended through the state’s Administrative License Revocation (ALR).

What To Expect

Clinical staff will orient you with the Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program. You will be provided with a packet of information with questions and answers about ADSAP and tips to successfully complete the program. Administrative staff will then discuss several forms that address policies, procedures, and financial responsibilities with you. A clinical counselor will then conduct an assessment to determine the focus of services and the level of care that will best meet your needs.

What To Bring

  • 10-year driver’s record dated within 30 days of enrollment. 
  • When required to enroll within (30) days, please provide the ADSAP/Education Treatment Referral.  (This referral form will be provided by the court)*
  • Identification Card (ex: picture id)
  • Social Security Card or an item with social security number
  • A $500 payment is due at the time of your assessment. If you’re unable to pay at that time, you’ll have the option to apply for Community Service or set up a payment plan.*  

*You will have the opportunity to apply for community service. If you qualify based on your income, you will be required to complete community service as a part of the program.
