MI is a 2-day training occurring from June 28 – June 29.
Open to Addictions Counselors, Rehabilitation Counselors, Supervisors, Social Workers, and Other Health Care or Treatment Providers.
Objectives:
Participants will learn the basic principles and philosophy of the spirit of MI.
Participants will learn rationale and basic principles of MET and principles combined with CBT interventions.
Participants will develop practical strategies and skills necessary for using MI with clients.
Participants will become familiar with the specific structure of individual and group MET sessions in relation to Stages of Change.
Participants will receive specific strategy materials for MET Best-Practice Implementation & Tracking, identify barriers and develop alternative strategies for specific populations.
