Motivational Interviewing – Day 2

MI is a 2-day training occurring on July 31 and August 1.
Open to Addictions Counselors, Rehabilitation Counselors, Supervisors, Social Workers, and Other Health Care or Treatment Providers.
Objectives:
- Participants will learn the basic principles and philosophy of the spirit of MI.
- Participants will learn rationale and basic principles of MET and principles combined with CBT interventions.
- Participants will develop practical strategies and skills necessary for using MI with clients.
- Participants will become familiar with the specific structure of individual and group MET sessions in relation to Stages of Change.
- Participants will receive specific strategy materials for MET Best-Practice Implementation & Tracking, identify barriers and develop alternative strategies for specific populations.
