Women's Intensive Outpatient Program (WIOP)

LRADAC offers several programs that are gender-specific in order to meet the needs of women. The highest level of outpatient programs is our Women's Intensive Outpatient Program. These groups meet Monday through Thursday morning at our Richland and Lexington locations. Group settings foster a nurturing environment for women and promote activities that help women to care for and feel good about themselves and others.

This program offers research-based curricula including daily Group Therapy, Disease of Addiction Education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Recovery and Empowerment , Stress Management and Healthy Coping Skills, Health Education, Relapse Prevention, 12-Step Introduction , Medication Management, Family Dynamics Education and Parenting Skills. Case management and individual sessions are also a part of the comprehensive offerings provided under WIOP.

Outpatient therapy allows a woman to live at home and continue with work or school while receiving treatment services comparable with inpatient care. Upon completion of WIOP, women have the opportunity to attend a gender-specific Women's Continuing Care group one day a week. This group provides continued support to women as they transition from treatment to community-based recovery.
