SC Tobacco Education Program (SC TEP)

SC TEPThe South Carolina Tobacco Education Program (SC TEP) is offered as an alternative to penalties for:

  • Students who face suspension for violation of a school tobacco-use policy
  • Young people who break one of the state’s laws regarding underage tobacco use.

The program consists of four sections that address and educate youth about:

  • Tobacco use
  • Effects of tobacco use
  • Addiction
  • Healthy alternatives to smoking
  • Resources to quit using tobacco products

Ways youth may be referred to TEP:

  • Court order for a tobacco charge
  • School penalty
  • By parents

We also offer on-site programs for groups of 8 or more.

All youth could benefit from our Tobacco prevention programs. There is a $25 charge per participant, but special pricing may be available for groups.
