LRADAC Prevention Resource Center

The Prevention Resource Center (PRC) is a lending library offering alcohol, tobacco and other drug information, parenting techniques, skills for building self-esteem, positive peer pressure, and other resources dealing with community prevention issues.

The center, located at 1800 St. Julian Place in suite 308, has brochures, pamphlets, posters, videos, and other free materials for the public. Emphasizing a risk and protective factor approach to prevention programming, the PRC provides services which target a wide range of inter-related problems including alcohol and other drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, teen pregnancy, juvenile delinquency, violence reduction and community norms which support negative behaviors.

The center is able to provide current statistical data, up-to-date publications, and research through access to information on a nationwide computer network.

The Prevention Resource Center is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We suggest that you call in advance to make an appointment with our PRC Coordinator. Call (803) 540-7680 or outside the Midlands 1-800-373-0273.
