Mind, Media & Tobacco

Mind, Media and Tobacco (MMT) is a tobacco education program that uses media to get youth to think critically about their tobacco use. The program is taught in 4 lessons:

Lesson 1 focuses on the influence of media and tobacco advertisement

Lesson 2 explores peer pressure and other influences that teens are exposed to. Lesson 2 also discusses the chemicals that are found in tobacco.

Lesson 3 discusses the short term and long term consequences of tobacco use.

Lesson 4 is used to create a Quit Plan. Participants are guided through steps to craft a plan to stop the use of tobacco.

The program can be taught in two hours, four hours, or eight hours.
