I Need Help » Students & Teens » Adolescent Drug Court
Clients are sentenced by the court system to participate in the drug court program that provides an alternative to incarceration. An interdisciplinary team, consisting of judges, public defenders, solicitors, probation officers and adolescent counselors, monitors participants. The goal of the adolescent drug court is to reduce crime and recidivism, while promoting recovery and positive lifestyle changes through court supervision and intense substance abuse counseling. Ultimately this program promotes public safety and results in a reduction in the number of individuals incarcerated.
