A Woman's Journey

This program is for college women who are eager to learn more about themselves and the issues they may face during college and in the workforce. The information the participants will receive from guest presenters and knowledge they will obtain from interactive discussions will enhance their growth academically, personally and professionally.

Program topics include:

  • Separation issues (leaving home, family and friends; detaching with love)
  • Relationships (dating, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, negotiating sex)
  • Self Awareness (self assessment, self esteem, spirituality)
  • Health (diet, eating disorders, exercise, depression, media's perception of beauty)
  • High Risk Behaviors (use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs; risky sexual behavior)
  • Career exploration and choices
